Feel the community: the UNIQA stories of living better together

07.08.2024 1 minute reading time

In an effort to bring our brand promise of community, cooperation and social responsibility to life, UNIQA has launched the "living better together stories," an engaging social media series.

“Living better together”. UNIQA's brand promise stands for the common good, community, and the power of cooperation. The claim sums up our aspiration to improve the lives of our customers as a reliable companion with innovative offers and services that are relevant every day. We also fulfil our social responsibility by hosting several social sponsoring partnerships. These range from promoting young sporting talent to diversity and inclusion.

The challenge: to make this message tangible and perceptible within Austria in a convincing, flexible brand awareness series. The solution: the UNIQA “gemeinsam besser leben stories” (living better together stories), an emotional social media series. They are authentic, emotional, but never cheesy. Conceived as a purely digital campaign, the videos are customised for use on social media and tailored to the UNIQA channels on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. They were developed and realised by UNIQA Group Brand & Communication with the Viennese digital creative agency ‘papabogner’.

The focus lies on the people behind our social sponsoring partner organisations and their genuine ‘living better together’ stories. For the pilot project, which premiered in April 2024, we visited the 2024 National Winter Games of Special Olympics Austria (SOÖ). UNIQA has been the main sponsor of SOÖ since 2022, and numerous employees are also involved in the competitions as volunteers. Our ‘gold stars’: the athletes of a Viennese ice skating team.

The second story focuses on our long-standing partnership with the Austrian Mountain Rescue Association (Österreichischer Bergrettungsverband). 13,000 volunteer mountain rescuers ensure greater safety in the Alps in around 9,700 missions per year (as of 2023). In the multi-part series, volunteer mountain rescuers talk about team cohesion, their training and often dangerous rescue missions. The series went online in July 2024 to coincide with the peak hiking season.

The series will be continued with our commitment to diversity & inclusion and the promotion of school sports. The most important videos and information are available on a dedicated landing page on uniqa.at even after the end of the respective social media campaign. Find out more here (in German).

The Austrian Mountain Rescue Service is available 365 days a year, in any weather and at any time of day.
